Six sectors · One specialism

Six sectors. The same engineering bench.
The kit list shifts — the approach doesn’t.

Whether it’s a council chamber or a sensory suite, every Opus AV project starts with a site visit. Six rooms below — pick the one you’ll be standing in.

Sector 01 · Religion

Clarity for every congregation.

Churches, chapels, cathedrals, mosques and community worship spaces. Speech-clarity systems, hearing loops, livestream and image magnification, lyric and liturgy projection — sound that carries every word, on every pew.

About Opus AV

Forty-seven years of fitting out Lancashire.

Opus Audio Visual Ltd was founded in 1979 by Andrew Kay in Burnley. We started life as Opus Pro Audio — a small, hands-on outfit kitting out chapels, school halls and civic buildings with sound systems that actually worked.

Forty-seven years on, the address is still Parker Lane, the same engineers still do the work, and the principle hasn’t shifted — listen to the room first, then specify the kit.

The Opus approach

In the room before in the catalogue.

  1. Site visit

We come to you first — no spec sheet, no sales pitch. Just someone standing in the room, listening to what it needs to do.

  2. Design & specification

The kit list is built around the room. We specify what the space requires — not what’s on the shelf this week.

  3. Installation

Our own engineers lead every installation. Where a project calls for specialist trades — acoustic treatment, bespoke sensory equipment — we work with trusted partners we’ve used for years. One point of contact throughout.

  4. Service & maintenance

A named contact and a phone number you’ve used before. Most of our service clients have been with us for more than a decade.

Trusted partners & accreditations

Specialists we work with.

Some projects call for skills beyond AV — acoustic treatment, bespoke sensory equipment. We bring in the right people and they’re part of the process from the start.

Acoustic treatment

Sound Reduction Systems

UK manufacturer of bespoke acoustic panels, wall linings and floor systems — Institute of Acoustics accredited, over 40 years in the industry. SRS handle the acoustic treatment; Opus AV handles the AV. Together, the room works the way it’s supposed to.

Sensory equipment

OptiMusic i-Tech

Designers and manufacturers of bespoke interactive sensory technology — OptiBeam, Opti-illusion, OptiPiano and more. Specialist equipment for multi-sensory environments where standard kit won’t do. Opus AV specifies and installs the AV; OptiMusic supply the sensory equipment.

What clients say

Built on long relationships.

“Opus AV have been looking after our sound system for years. When something needs attention, they’re on it — no fuss, no drama. The kind of company you stop thinking about because it just works.”

“They came to the room first, listened to what we needed, and then built something that actually works for our children. The difference it has made is hard to put into words.”

“We’ve worked with Opus AV across several of our sites. They understand council procurement, they hit the frameworks, and the engineers are professional on-site. We’d have no hesitation recommending them.”

Site visit · Plain talk · The kit comes second
